Conversation bench
This bench is a minimalist take on the traditionally gaudily upholstered tete-a-tete from French parlors in the 1700s. Rather than forcing social interaction between the sitters, the seats on this conversation bench are offset to allow the sitters the option to either see each other or to have more of an individual experience.
The form is hand carved, from the S-curve of cherry to the seats of curly hard maple.
